Business ethics: Low Carbon & energy efficient from Day 1

Low carbon operations and energy sobriety are anchored among Illuminum's key principles. Thus, we prioritise cardio as the means to travel to and from our office and our customers. We walk, cycle, skate or ski.

If the customer's office or project place is too far away, we take the train, bus or electric scooters. We disapprove of car travel, regardless of the type of engine, and air travel on the European continent.

Vegan options are a prioritised meal option while on duty.

Illuminum will cause no environmental burden directly or through our suppliers. Our customers' Scope 3 emission won't rise because of Illuminum's operations or IT solutions.

We review the suppliers we rely on from environmental point of view to maintain a low carbon and energy efficient value chain.

We ask all suppliers to prove that they have environmental savings targets embedded in their operations. Suppliers must also prove to us that they run on renewable energy sources only.

We choose environmentally certified offices that are operated on renewables only.

We are also concerned about the digital and cloud infrastructure such as server halls, software, and IT and database architectures. Hence, even our IT solutions and tools are designed with least possible environmental impact possible by default.

Illuminum strives to become as cloud oriented a business as possible with as little physical objects in our possession that would burden the environment. We want to share computing power with others. Hereby, we prefer virtualised data centers and rent computation power on demand.

We use the IT & Telekomföretagens Allmänna bestämmelser IT-tjänster version 2014 or ABK09 to guarantee decent labour conditions for our employees and the industry's delivery standards.
